A space to listen for what still hasn't found words.
Psychoanalytic sessions, 100% online, conducted in Portuguese, for women who hold everything together but lose themselves along the way. Love, emotional emptiness, and unconscious repetitions. An ethical time and space, devoted to listening to what insists — so that, little by little, it can find meaning.
Listening is, above all,
a gesture of respect.
Psychoanalysis opens up a rare kind of space: one where you can speak without the pressure of reaching a conclusion, without already having to know what you feel. What often shows up as a symptom, a repetition, or a sense of unease can, with time and listening, begin to turn into meaning.
It isn't about receiving ready-made answers, but about building, session after session, a deeper understanding of your own history — the patterns that repeat, the bonds that form, and the choices that, often without our noticing, keep repeating themselves.
My work is to hold that space with ethics, care, and attention to each person's singularity. A process that respects each person's own time — and that, for this very reason, tends to last.
How sessions work
Video sessions, designed to fit your routine without giving up the depth of analytic work.
Online video sessions
Weekly sessions by video call, in a private, uninterrupted setting — the same care as an in-person office, with the flexibility of being wherever you are.
Who I work with
For the woman who holds it all together, but loses herself along the way. A space to look closely at love, emotional emptiness, and unconscious repetition — anywhere in the world, in Portuguese.
Confidentiality and commitment
Every process is held by confidentiality, attentive listening, and an ongoing commitment to professional ethics — conditions without which words can't find room to circulate freely.
Luciana Bettencourt
My professional path began in Education. For 15 years, I founded and ran an early-childhood school, an experience that brought me close not only to children, but to their mothers and to the teachers on my team. During that time, I taught courses and workshops, building an increasingly close relationship with women's experience. I also worked in public education as a teacher and school principal, and later in Angola, where I taught at a university and served as a school director. After moving to the United States, I began a new stage of study in self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-confidence, human development, and care for women. This path, shaped by listening and by an interest in women's stories, led me to Psychoanalysis.
It was this path — crossed by a constant interest in words and in what resists being easily said — that led me to Psychoanalysis. I completed my psychoanalytic training and today continue an ongoing process of clinical supervision, which sustains and deepens my practice with every session.
Psychoanalysis is at the center of my work today: a commitment to ethical listening, respect for each person's singularity, and the conviction that there is always room for new meaning, even in what seems most fixed or repetitive.

Write and tell me a little about what brought you here. I'll get back to you so we can talk about starting the analytic process.
Schedule an initial conversation
The first step is an initial interview — a space of welcome and listening, to understand what you're going through and to sense, together, whether it makes sense to move forward with the process.
